An Endurance Test for Vehicles, Batteries and Driving Styles

A 24 hour endurance test, with lots of electric vehicles from various manufacturers, a particularly attractive test track around Lake Zell and a goal that is hard to beat in terms of attractive scenery – these are the ingredients of the 24 Hour Endurance Test, which will enter its second round at IONICA 2019.

Around the Clock

That’s the motto and it’s actually true, because 24 hours is the time span in which the electric vehicles are subjected to an unprecedented endurance test at the IONICA in Zell am See-Kaprun. It’s a test that poses certain challenges for the participating teams, because there is also a winner to be determined.

As Many Kilometres as Possible …

… is the goal for the participating teams. The approximately 26 km long circuit leads around Lake Zell and is used throughout the 24 hours. The race takes place exclusively on public roads, and each participant drives under the same conditions. The race works as a uniformity test, so a good energy tactic is the key to success.

A High Goal

The goal of the 24 hour endurance is, proverbially speaking, as high as the sky because at the end of the race every participating electric vehicle must reach the end of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road at the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe. A worthy finish of a seminal race, when all e-cars gather in the face of the 3,798 m high Großglockner for a collective photo shoot.

Would you like to participate in this race and subject your electric vehicle to this unique test? Then register right here and now for IONICA 2019. The IONICA team will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
